JOnny B <cailloux@treator.com> QC Canada - Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 20:51:29 (CST) Just a little correction on my last entry, I cannot wait to go to Depot for the 5 1/2 months of training to become a Police OFFICER. Susan Webb <almondeyes_27@hotmail.com> Nain, Labrador, Nf Canada - Thursday, November 29, 2001 at 09:34:25 (CST) I was recently in Regina at the RCMP Depot, myself and 11 other Innu and Inuit from Labrador. We were with the ACDP (Aboriginal Cadet Development Program). We completed 3 weeks of training there as a type of orientation to Depot life. I ABSOLUTELY loved Depot and will be back for the 5 1/2 months of training to become a Police Office in the very near future. The Gift Shop also has beautiful souvenirs and great prices. I can't wait to come back and buy more things. If anyone remembers us please e-mail me. We were the ones in the maroon colored shirts and navy pants. "From Labrador." But, I can't wait to go back. Cheerio. It is in a locket type frame with his picture on one side and the King of England on the other side. Circa late 1800's. His name was Samuel Simonds. Do you have any information concerning this? I am on the trail of my Great Uncle, Leonard Bowman, who I believe served with the RCMP for 20 years or so. His folks moved to England just after WWII and lost touch. I discovered from your site that a boy scout troup in Lumsden wears a shoulder badge in his honour. We would dearly love to know what heroics warrants such deference. Any information regarding Len would be most appreciated. Your web-site has enabled me to glean more info in 15 minutes than his family did via other methods in 50 years...grat stuff Sue England <tomsue.england@btinternet.com> London, UK - Friday, November 16, 2001 at 04:57:14 (CST) Your site is very interesting. I was trying to find a roster of former officers. I was told that my Great Grandfather, EDWARD BURLEY YOUNG was an officer there in the late 1800's. Is it possible to find out if that is true? Any response would be appreciated. Thank you very much for you consideration. J. D. Justin Linklater <linklaterjustin@hotmail.com> Winnipeg, MB Canada - Saturday, September 08, 2001 at 22:54:36 (CST) Your web site is very informative but what I am looking for isn't there. As a child I found a small pocket knife but never looked at the markings until today. It has a picture of a man on a horse with the letters R.C.M.P Canada beneath him. Is there a web site with pictures of such items? I don't know how old this knife is and would like to find out. At the base of the blade it says "Richlands Sheffield England" Any help would be appreciated. Thank You. Es hat mir wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht auf eurer Seite herumzusehen, da sie großartig ist. Ich hoffe ich kann die Academy mal besuchen.
