My spouse's Grandfather was named James Frederick Phillips. His birthplace is England October 30, 1858.On his enlistment papers he indicated he had been employed with the Northwest Mounted Police around 1898. We also were advised that he married a women in North Dakota USA in 1889. We don't know who she was? This marriage was disolved in 1895.Three children were born from this marriage Saul 1889; Joseph 1891 and a daughter named Mary or Marie in 1893. Would the NWMP or today's RCMP have any historical records regarding Grace's Grandfather, his wife etc. What section of the RCMP could help with our genealogical research. Ron (204) 983-1920

I am looking for information on my Great Uncle whose last name was Dobson or Duval. He was in the RCMP Lethbridge area sometime after WWII. I believe he was British. I hope to find some long lost relatives this way. If you have any info that could help me please contact me. Sincerely, Colleen Gibbs

I found this site interesting and informational. I had heard that the Mounties had been involved in 7 wars but had no idea they saw action in WWI or WWII. Thank you for this intriguing site. I hope someday to visit the actual museum.

Thanks for the site and all the great information. It looks like it'll be a big help while learning about the RCMP!!! I'm going to a program in Ottawa for the week and it's centered around the Mounties. The info I got here should make my research a little bit easier!

Thank you for providing such an excellent site. I entered your site to collect information for my 11 year old daughter, she is doing a school project on Mounted Police, and found the site easy to navigate and full of relevant information for her project. Once again thank you for an really excellent site. Grant Elliott.
